HOW FAR IN ADVANCE TO BOOK KUALOA RANCH?
Aloha vacation planners! Because so many get disappointed upon arrival when they find out Kualoa Ranch activities are sold out, we called them and asked for the best time to book their activities. This is what they said...
Guided Horseback Tour: at least a week, best 2-3 weeks out
Secret Island Beach Activities: 1 day in advance. Ask if it’s going to be crowded, because sometimes there are big parties booked for that day.
Premier Movie Sites: 1 week
e-Mountain Bike Adventure Tour: 5 days
Jungle Jeep Expedition Tour: 7-10 days minimum
Ocean Voyage Adventure: 24 hrs
Taste of Kualoa Farm Tour: 24-48 hrs
Jurassic Valley Zip-line Tour: as far out as possible, it’s sometimes sold out 3-4 weeks in advance.
Hollywood Movie Sites Tour: 7-10 days minimum (as soon as you know, don’t wait.)
Jurassic Valley ATV Tour: It’s most popular, so make reservations from home via email.
Multi-Passenger Raptor Tour: Very popular, so make reservations from home via email.
KUALOA RANCH TIPS:
Tip: There are cancellations, so it’s always worth asking the day before, even if it’s booked.
Tip: Older folks can take the Raptor, while the younger ones can take the ATV. Drivers must be 21and over. ATV 16 and over.
Tip: You can split the family up in different interests, for example, less adventurous can go on the Movie Tour while others go ziplining.
Tip: Packages include lunch. Primary tour is ATV, but you can choose two others from a “set menu.” The earlier you book, the better your choices (since others get booked.)
Tip: Seats are set aside for packages, so it might show “sold out” online, but not really be. Email if it’s sold out.
Tip: Don't forget to bring water and sunscreen and comfortable closed toed shoes.
HOLLYWOOD MOVIE SITES TOUR
If you can only do one activity, do this.
It’s the most educational because shows the most movie locations, and if you want something more exclusive and can afford it, do to Premier Movie Sites Tours. It’s in a Mercedes, it seats 12, they play the movie scenes, and then you see where it was filmed. It also includes water, popcorn, and candy included.
It's generally sold out 7-10 days in advance.
JUNGLE TOUR
It’s twisty, bumpy, turny, but lots of fun! It’s not good, however, for those with bad backs, recent surgery, or pregnant mothers. If you're a pregnant mother with a bad back from recent surgery, definitely sit this one out!
If you can only choose two tours, do the Hollywood Movie Sites Tour and the Jungle Tour. It’s at 600+ feet elevation with a great view of the ocean and valley.
